About the Scholarship

Young Women's Empowerment Scholarship is widely recognized and is sponsored by The Spiggle Law Firm, an organization, founded by Tom Spiggle, that works on representing employees in employment disputes and individuals subject to high-profile criminal prosecutions. The Spiggle Law firm always aims to solve situations in a way that's in the best interest of the client.

This grant is awarded yearly to current college and university students who share an experience that had in fighting the barriers the hold women back. The applicants of the grant must show high levels of academic performance, and community involvement. The quality of the essay plays a huge role in the selection of the candidate. 

How to apply for the scholarship?

  • Interested applicants should submit an original essay of around 1000 words describing how the applicant has worked to empower women within their community.

  • Along with the essay, a resume, academic transcripts,  and proof of enrollment should also be submitted to prove their excellence in academics.

  • The essay and the other required documents should be sent to the respective department before the deadline mentioned.

Scholarship Award Amount

The scholarship award amounts to $1,000 every year for one deserving candidate based on their previous records.

Deadline Information

All the necessary document along with the application form and essay must be sent to the concerned department on or before January 31 to be considered for the application valuation.

Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must be a legally recognized U.S. citizen.

  • To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must be an undergraduate or graduate student pursuing their education in the U.S.

  • Candidates must be exceptional in their academics and maintain a grade point average of 3.0 out of 4.
