About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation. The Zavala Scholarship is awarded yearly to promote higher education among the Hispanic population and help provide leadership opportunities. The grant is for local area students who're currently enrolled at the high school or college level. The selections will be made based on factors including academic performance, quality of the submitted essay, and financial need.
How to apply for the scholarship?
- Interested applicants should first register with the Wichita Falls Community Foundation scholarship portal.
Applicants must then complete the online application form.
Upon completion of the application form, applicants will be notified of which individual scholarships they're eligible for, and also about the additional requirements needed for applying

The award amount may vary depending upon each student's financial need.
