How To Send Your SAT Scores To Colleges?
To send your SAT scores to colleges is a smooth process. You are all set to take your final step. There are precisely three ways in which you may send SAT scores to colleges. Whether to send SAT scores for admission or financial aid, here is how you can request and send your SAT scores to colleges and universities.
Method 1- Signup for free SAT scores while you register for SAT
You can request to forward four free score reports between the day you register for SAT up to 9 days, right after your SAT date. It is advisable to opt for this only if you are confident about performing well in your SAT. Use this option wisely, as the scores will be sent to the chosen colleges and universities even before you see the results.
Method 2- To send SAT score apart from free test option
Unless you are eligible, there’s a $12 fee to send a score report after the nine-day period ends. If you are eligible for a fee waiver, then you may send your SAT scores unlimited times to the colleges.
This option also applies in sending requests for an additional SAT score report apart from those four scores sent during the 9 days period.
Method 3- Seek request for an SAT rush order
In a hurry to send your SAT scores, you can request for rush order, which means that your scores will be sent to colleges within two to four days with an additional fee/extra fee of $31 approximately.
The above infographic shows the three different ways and methods in which you may request to send your SAT scores to the colleges. Be wise while opting for any of the above-given methods as they all have their own pros and cons. In case of any confusion consult your education counselor.

Step 1: Sign in to your college board account and click on “Send scores.”
Step 2: Click on Send Available Scores Now if you wish to send your scores quickly, or either click on “Send Scores When Available” if you’re registered for an upcoming test.

How Long Does It Take To Send SAT Scores?
It takes about a week to process your request to send SAT scores.
After your request is received, the college board sends SAT score reports to colleges and agencies you have chosen to adjust on their fixed schedule, by at least every two weeks.
Thus, depending on when you take the SAT, your score report can be expected from two to six weeks after your test date. The SAT score reports are then sent to colleges within 10 days after your scores are published. After colleges receive your scores, they take time for about a week to process your request.
Fee waivers
Qualify for a fee waiver. The College Board offers SAT fee waivers to low-income students.
Fee waivers get the ability to send SAT score reports to the colleges you want for free charges. To be eligible, contact your high school counselor/representative of an authorized community-based organization.
SAT score choice
If you took the SAT more than once, decide about the best scores you’ll send to colleges. First, check the score policy for each college you wish to apply for. Some colleges take all your scores while some take the overall best score, or take your SAT super score.
Using the College Board's Score choice as an optional service, helps you to choose SAT date scores you will send to colleges.
If you missed a score choice, the college board automatically sends your overall SAT results and SAT subject test results to the schools you apply to.
For example; if a college on your list super-scores the SAT, you’ll wish to send the test date with your highest SAT EBRW score and the test date with your highest SAT math score.
Can You Send SAT Score After The Application?
As long as you send your SAT scores during the evaluation process, you are safe to send the SAT score after the application. Sending your SAT score at the earliest is not going to benefit you in any way. Hence, you might as well wait and send your SAT scores to colleges wisely. However, your application would not be considered complete unless you send your SAT score.
