Which Test Date Should You Choose?

Juniors (11th grade): Take the SAT once in March or May 2027, then again in August or October 2027 if you need to improve. This gives you two attempts before applications open.

Seniors (12th grade): August or October 2026 is your last realistic shot for Early Decision/Early Action deadlines. November is the absolute final option for most ED programs.

Sophomores (10th grade): Most should focus on the PSAT first. If you're advanced, the May or June SAT is a good first attempt.

Digital SAT Format Reminder

Since March 2024, the SAT is fully digital, taken on a laptop or tablet via the Bluebook app:
