Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) is an Entrance exam many colleges and universities in the United States conducted to select students for admission. It is a 3 hour (excluding essay) pencil-paper examination consisting of multiple-choice questions of Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. There are two exams SAT and SAT Subject tests.

SATs papers generally comprise of the following subjects

  • Reading

  • Writing and Language

  • Math(with Calculator)

  • Maths(no calculator)

  • Essay(optional)

When to take the SAT?

Most of the High school students take-up SAT, ACT and other standardized tests during their end of senior year that is the final year of Highschool. If you are not confident or if you need prior experience before attempting the actual SAT try attempting the exam early. As there are no age criteria or the minimum age required you can take SAT anytime during your Highschool. Every year SAT is conducted in August, October, November, December, March, May, and June months. Decide writing any one of the exams before the spring fall's SAT.


How to Register for the SAT?

Step 1: Visit the official website Collegeboard.

Step 2: Register a new account by clicking 'Create account' and choose the 'student' portal.

Step 3: Fill all your Required* General information including your Name, Gender, DOB, Email address, Residential address, Educational details, and your parent/guardian's details.

Step 4: Tick the checkbox of agreeing to the terms and conditions.

Step 5: After verifying your account, log in and choose the test subjects and test city.

Step 6: Pay the application fee and opt for supplementary materials if needed.
