Aquinas College (TN) Financial Aid and Scholarships
Students can avail of scholarships provided by the college, such as Academic Leadership Scholarship, Albertus Magnus Scholarship, Art and Helen Nickless Scholarship, and Auburn Jaycees Education Scholarship, if they find educational expenses to be on the higher side. It is interesting to note that almost every student at AC receives some kind of financial aid, while the total amount of provided assistance/loans in a year is $5,020,325. More information regarding the financial assistance schemes can be accessed on AC’s official financial aid page at https://thomasaquinas.edu/admission/financial-aid. At AC, the total percentage of applicants who receive the Federal Grant stands at 29%. Meanwhile, 100% of the applicants receive the Student Grant and 100% are awarded the Institution Grant, while 29% of the students get the Pell Grant. Furthermore, the average aid for the Federal Grant receivers is $4,975, and the same stands at $2,418 for State Grant awardees and $20,729 for Institution Grant recipients. On the other hand, the average aid received by the Pell Grant awardees is $4,572. The annual family income of the applicants is also considered for determining the total financial assistance that they will be eligible for. On average, students with an annual family income of less than $30,000 will obtain a federal aid of $19,781 per year. The average aid amount stands at $22,152 for an annual family income between $30,001 and $48,000. This amount comes to $15,461 for those who fall under the $48,001-$75,000 family income bracket. Those with an annual income level of $75,001-$110,000 would receive $14,147, while candidates with more than $110,000 of family income receive an average federal aid of $4,886. In addition to financial grants and scholarship schemes, students can also avail of monetary benefits like student loans to pay for their education. But, they should understand that student loans are borrowed at a certain rate of interest, unlike grants and scholarships. Candidates are also required to repay these loans within a given period. At Aquinas College, the percentage of candidates who opt to avail of student loans is around 62%.
