Admission Process at Hamline University is made easy to help students achieve their educational goals. Admission for the first-year student is based on enrolling high qualified students for which they primarily consider the academic factors and secondary factors as the ability to be successful in a competitive academic environment.

Admissions Process

  • Complete the university’s online application. These applications will be sent directly to the admission office of Hamline University. Students also have an option to fill a paper application and mail it to the university’s office.
  • Students must submit an official high school transcript, which should include a list of senior courses. Transcripts must be sent directly from the applicant’s school. 
  • Send SAT/ACT scores to Hamline University. These scores may be listed on the transcript sent by the applicant’s high school or can be sent directly from the testing organization. The code for ACT is 2114 and the code for the SAT is 6265. 
  • Students must have at least one letter of recommendation which describes their academic and leadership record. The letter of recommendation should be sent directly by the guidance counselor to Hamline.

For the first-year admission, the application begins by November 1 and till mid-January and for the international, the admission process begins twice in a year one in falls  February 1 and for springs November 1. In the admission process, the candidate’s overall profile is evaluated.
