Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is a public technical institution located in Conway, South Carolina and was established in the year 1966. The college is a part of the South Carolina Technical College System and is the fourth largest technical college in the USA. HGTC campus is located in three different locations. The Conway campus has 13 buildings spread across 50 acres.

Initially, the college was called Horry-Marion-Georgetown Technical Education Center and later in the year 1975, the name was changed to Horry-Georgetown Technical College. The main mission of the college is to provide a student-centered environment and inspire lifelong learning and provide an education which is accessible, affordable, and high-quality.
