Scholarships

  • Arts Festival Merit Scholarship: Massasoit Community College provides scholarships to students graduating with a 3.0 or above grade point average in Visual Arts. Massasoit Community College awards $1,000 to eligible students.

  • Charles Tartaglia Family Scholarship: The Charles Tartaglia Family Scholarship  provides aid to students who are in financial need. Eligibility criteria for students is that they  must have a 2.5 grade point average or higher and should have attended Massasoit for at least one semester. Students must write a 300 word essay describing their financial need and future academic goals. The amount awarded is $250.

There are a couple of grants available to students such as:

Federal Grants

  • Federal Pell Grant: The Federal Pell Grant Program provides grants to students who are in financial need and want to study.  Amounts are based on the student's cost of attendance, enrollment status, and expected family contribution (EFC) from the FAFSA.

  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG): The FSEOG program is a campus-based program that provides awards for students with  financial need.

State Grant 

  • Massachusetts State Grant: The Massachusetts State Grant provides financial help to students who are in requirement of financial aid. Students should be residents of Massachusetts. The award amounts range from $600 – $1100.

  • MassGrant Plus:  This grant is provided to both full-time and part-time students who are residents of Massachusetts and are in financial need.

  • Massachusetts Cash Grant/Access Grant: Massachusetts Cash Grant/Access Grant provides need-based grants to the students. Award amounts may vary.

Institutional Grants

  • Massasoit Community College Fee Grant (MCCFee): Massasoit Community College Fee Grant fund is provided to students with financial needs , It provides supplement to other forms of federal and state aid.

  • United Student Fund (USF): USF is provided to students in financial need to cover the cost of health insurance and books, as well as provide support for students with financial emergencies.
