Muskingum University located in Ohio, USA is a private not-for-profit liberal arts college which was established in 1837. The university provides quality education programs in liberal arts and science, with a mission to help students to develop critical thinking, ethical sensitivity, positive action, and spiritual growth which will lead them to acquire skills and knowledge. In 1837, the university was founded as Muskingum College, to educate the people of the farming village of New Concord. In 2007, the college was renamed to Muskingum University.

The mission of the Muskingum University is to offer quality academic programs in liberal arts and sciences and create a caring community, develop intellectual growth, spiritual growth, and to create ideal citizens for the society.
