Nova Southeastern University is one of the largest private, not-for-profit universities in the United States. The main headquarters are situated in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where it has a campus spread over 314 acres. Initially, Nova Southeastern University was established in 1964 as the Nova University of Advanced Technology which was reserved as a graduate institution in the physical and social sciences.

Since the last 56 years, NSU has expanded rapidly, and now has 18 other campuses to provide offline learning. Amidst the current coronavirus pandemic, NSU has also come up with innovative methods to promote online teaching. The university has recently replaced the Blackboard Learning Management System with the Canvas Learning Management System. A student can easily login to the website and access their coursework online.

NSU currently enrolls 20,435 students across all of its campuses. The university has a very diverse student population.
