Students can avail of scholarships provided by the university, such as Anthony Gobar Juvenile Justice Scholarship Fund, Development Fund for Black Students in Science and Technology Scholarship, Rockefeller State Wildlife Scholarship, and TOPS - Honors Award, if they find educational expenses to be on the higher side. It is interesting to note that, every year, around 99% of students at SUNO receive some kind of financial aid, while the total amount of assistance/loans provided is $13,958,495. Notably, a total of 90% of the applicants to Southern University at New Orleans receive the Federal Grant every year.
