Interestingly, almost all of the students at TTIP receive some sort of financial aid, and the total amount of assistance/loans provided totals more than $858,924 in a year. At TTIP, the total percentage of applicants who receive the Federal Grant stands at 75%. In comparison, 89% of the students are awarded the Student Grant, 7% get the Institution Grant, and 75% of the applicants receive the Pell Grant. Furthermore, the average aid for the Federal Grant receivers is $4,515, and the same stands at $4,709 for State Grant awardees and $6,811 for Institution Grant recipients. On the other hand, the average aid received by the Pell Grant awardees is $4,428. Among other things, the annual family income of the applicant plays a major role in determining the total financial aid they are actually eligible to receive. Apart from financial grants and scholarships, candidates can also avail of monetary benefits like student loans to fund their education. In contrast to grants and scholarships, student loans are taken by the candidates at a certain rate of interest. Moreover, the funds received through these loans will have to be repaid within a given timeframe. At TTIP, an estimated number of 75% of the applicants choose to go for student loans.
