Admission Requirements for High School Applicants

Students who are entering their senior year or currently pursuing course are encouraged to submit an application to Norwich University. The university accepts both online and paper applications. Admission Requirements for Bachelor’s Programs

  • The candidates should have earned an Associate degree or a minimum of 30 credits from a combination of:
    • Previous college courses, accomplished with a grade of C or better from regionally or nationally accredited institutions of higher learning or the equivalent courses from any foreign institution, as estimated by WES, IERF, SpanTran, or CED
    • ACE-reviewed Military or professional training reviewed by ACE, for which college credits are recommended
    • Norwich University reviewed other military or professional training for which college credit has been assessed, or is specified in an MOU
    • Recommended credits on the basis of scores on standardized tests such as CLEP
  • The proof of English language proficiency is required for the candidates if their first language is not English. This can be certified in any one of the following three ways:
    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - The candidates should have scored a minimum score of 550 in paper-based or 80 in internet-based TOEFL unless otherwise noted in specific articulation agreements
    • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) – The candidates should have scored a minimum composite score of 6.5 in IELTS
    • The candidates have successfully completed an Associate’s degree from an accredited U.S. higher education institution
  • The candidates should demonstrate proficiency in basic college-level math, science, and writing by prior to successful completion of general education equivalent or by prior approved training
  • The prospective students may petition to Chair of Continuing Studies to have their training reviewed and assessed for transfer credit if they have completed military or professional training that has not been reviewed by ACE
