About the Scholarship

ASAP is a need-based, state/federal grant ranging from $300 to $5,000 per academic year. Eligible students are undergraduate students who are Alabama residents attending eligible Alabama institutions. Nearly 80 Alabama institutions participate in the program. To apply please submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the federal government. This form should be filed beginning October 1 each year and is available on the FAFSA website or the financial aid office at the institution you plan to attend. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen as defined by the U.S. Department of Education. Must be a resident of Alabama for at least 12 months prior to the beginning of the academic term. Must be enrolled full-time or part-time. Must not be enrolled in a course of study leading to a degree in theology, religion, or other field of preparation for a religious profession.
