About the Scholarship

Burger King Scholars Program was accredited by Burger King McLamore  Foundation. The foundation is a non-profit organization which was created in the memory of the Burger King co-founder, James ‘Jim’ W. McLamore in the year 2005. Till the present time, the burger king scholarship was awarded for more than thirty thousand students and the burger king scholarship amount has been worth 37 million to date, for the Burger King employees and their respective families across the countries like United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. 

 


What are the basic requirements needed to apply for this scholarship?

  • The applicants are required to demonstrate work experience, extracurricular activities, and community service.

  • The students applying for this scholarship must have been completed their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to receive this award.


Burger King Scholars Program award amounts to

  • This scholarship provides $1,000 annually, non-renewable. In addition to the $1,000 awards, there will be a $50,000 “KING” National Award and $5,000 Regional Awards.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship varies depending on the availability of funds and students meeting their academic progress.


Deadline information

The applications are to be submitted by the end of December 15, 2020. Students are informed to submit their scholarship application online on the Scholarship America website and must be completed no later than the deadline date. Applications and other information are available online on the Burger King McLamore  Foundation website.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or more.

  • The applicant must be interested in serving the community.

  • The student should be a high school senior.

  • The applicant must be a Burger King employee.

  • The applicant must be closely related to an employee.
