About the Scholarship

U.S. students who are current high school seniors and have completed 50 or more hours of community service during high school are eligible for this award. Students must be the sons or daughters of veterans who served in the armed forces during the eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be the daughter, step-daughter, son, or step-son, grandson, granddaughter, step-grandson or step-granddaughter of a veteran who served in the Armed Forces during eligibility dates for membership in The American Legion. Must have a parent, step-parent, grandparent, or step-grandparent who is currently an active member of the U.S. military or one who actively served in WWI, WWII, the Korean War, Vietnam War, Granada Conflict, Lebanon Conflict, Panama Conflict, or Desert Storm/Desert Shield. Must have completed 50 hours of community service during high school years.
