About the Scholarship
Cosimo DiBrizzi Memorial Scholarship is awarded from Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley. The foundation was established in the year 1969, with a goal in supporting education, assist our nonprofit partners in achieving their mission.
Casimo DiBrizzi family and Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce was the one who established this scholarship to honor the memory. The Cosimo DiBrizzi Scholarship is provided to Hudson valley residents who show interest in pursuing their further education in the Culinary Arts field at the CIA.
How to get started?
A student has to complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be able to apply or receive these financial aids. FAFSA is what determines the position of a student to pay for their education.
Two letters of recommendation must be submitted by the student and a copy of the transcript with a copy of SAR and EFC information needs to be submitted.
To take part in the scholarship program, a student needs to submit an essay with 500 words on the topic assigned to them.
What is the scholarship amounts to?
This scholarship provides $1500 to $3000 annually to the students who meet their eligibility criteria and is nonrenewable.
A total of two awards are offered annually by this scholarship
This scholarship is provided by the Cosimo DiBrizzi family in the honor of his memory.
The application deadline on April 01, 2020. Students are informed to submit their applications before the due date to receive their scholarship.
The applications can be found on the official website of Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley.
This scholarship is available to any resident of the Mid-Hudson Valley.
Students who are pursuing a career at the Culinary Institute of America are also eligible.
An applicant must be accepted or enrolled at the CIA and planning to attend within the next six months.
If a student is a current year student, then they must have to reside in Hudson Valley for at least 5 years.
