About the Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded by the DePaul University, a private, not-for-profit Catholic institution that was started inspired by the legacy of Saint Vincent de Paul and Saint Louise de Marillac. DePaul University awards more than $33million in scholarships every year. The Theatre Scholarship award amount will be determined on the basis of both academic qualifications and artistic talent as demonstrated in the entrance audition.

How to apply for the scholarship?

  • The applicant will be automatically considered upon admission in DePaul and completing an audition. The applicant must apply for a major in acting in the Theatre School. Admission auditions will be held from November through February.

  • The applicant must submit official academic transcripts and FAFSA.

How much the scholarship award amounts to?

  • The award amount may vary from $2,000 to $10,000 per year and is renewable for up to three years.

  •  The number of awards offered varies annually.

The deadline date is set for January 15, 2020

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Must attend a college or university in Illinois.

  • The applicant must declare a major in acting.

  • Must plan to attend DePaul University in Illinois.
