About the Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded by the United States Bowling Congress, an organization established to serve bowlers of all ages. It is the national governing body of bowling as recognized by the United States Olympic Committee. Additionally, it provides standardized guidelines to make bowling fun and fair for everyone.

To be eligible for this scholarship, selected athletes and his/her respective high school team must have a USBC High School membership or be registered in the Coaches Registration Program. Selection to the All-American team will be based on factors including applicant's bowling achievements, academic performance, and community involvement.

How to apply for the scholarship?

  • The applicant must fill out a nomination form which can be found on the United States Bowling Congress site.

  • A student must also fill in the FAFSA application form that is used to determine the financial position of a student or his/her family in paying for tuition.

  • Along with the application, the applicant should also submit an essay of approximately 500 words on the topic given in the application.

  • In addition to the above documents, an applicant must also submit their official academic transcripts, one recommendation letter, and a resume with bowling achievements and academic performance.

Scholarship amount and Deadline

The award amounts to $1,000 per year and is non-renewable. 5 male and 5 female deserving students will receive an award every year.

All the documents must be submitted to the institution no later than April 26 without fail to receive and enjoy the benefits of the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

  • An Applicant should be course registered for the current high school year.

  • USBC High School membership is mandatory

  • Selection of applicants is based on the student's school bowling achievements from the current school year, academic achievement and records, extracurricular and community activities, submitted essays, resumes, and previous works.
