About the Scholarship
The Harold W. Canfield Memorial Scholarship was established in the year 2009, in the honor of Hal Canfield who is the founder of the Knoxville Track Club. The scholarship is awarded to the students who are active participants in track events. The additional priority will be given to the students who have the plan to attend school in Tennessee and work in the Eastern Tennessee area following graduation.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
The ETF scholarship application is applied through online. An applicant must fill and submit the FAFSA application which recognizes the financial need of an applicant.
In order to become eligible for a scholarship award, a student must complete the eligibility quiz.
In addition to that, an applicant must submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher or instructor.
All the necessary documents for a scholarship are submitted before the deadline is fixed.
What is the Total Amount Awarded?
The scholarship awards $1900 for a student per year. The award amount is non-renewable.
The scholarship application is submitted before February 15th.
An applicant must be a resident of Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Grainer, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Roane, Sevier, or a Union County.
A student has to a graduating high school senior with any field of study.
An application must have 3.0 GPA out of 4 to be eligible for the scholarship.
An added preference will be given to students who display interest for KTC and running, and who have given back to the KTC.
