About the Scholarship

Idaho State Board of Education sponsors Idaho Dental Education Program. The Idaho State Board of Education makes an approach for K-20 public education in Idaho, to create great opportunities for students to achieve their goals through high-quality instruction, development, and advancement.

The main idea behind this program is to provide residents of Idaho access to one of the best dental education. IDEP is designed and is intended to create graduates who have the capability to rehearse the present dentistry at its finest.


How to apply for the Idaho Dental Education Program?

  • Applicants must complete the AADSAS application 

  • Students who are selected must commit to attend their first year at Idaho State University in Pocatello and the other three years in Omaha at Creighton.

  • The student has to complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be able to apply or receive any financial aids.

  • The selection of the candidates is done by the IDEP Admissions Committee based on academic and non-academic factors; highly qualified admissions profiles; and an interview. 


What is the IDEP award amount?

  • This scholarship provides $15000 annually to the students and for those who are from out of state tuition fees are subsidized.

  • This scholarship is offered to a limited number of students, a totally 8 awards annually.


Deadline and information

The students must submit their applications by the end of January 01, 2020.

The applications can be found online on an official website provided by the Idaho State Board of Education.


Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must be a legally recognized U.S citizen who is pursuing a degree in dentistry.

  • A student must have a valid Social Security number.

  • Students must be enrolled as a regular student in a degree or certificate program in field of their interest.

  • Must have a high school diploma or a recognized equivalent such as a General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
