Colleges are increasingly looking to diversify student bodies. Many scholarships are restricted to minority students, including Hispanic students. Hispanic Scholarships, also sometimes known as Latino Scholarships are offered by a number of companies, organizations, and schools, resulting in a more culturally diverse experience for all involved. College scholarships are being offered for Hispanics at higher rates.

The Pew Research Center reports that educational attainment among U.S. Latino and Hispanic students has increased significantly in recent years. Even the dropout rates are declining and college enrollment has drastically increased. Although, Hispanics are reportedly the largest minority group on U.S. college campuses. Some Hispanic scholarships may require an essay or video, and some will just require heritage only. There is a wide range of scholarships available for both male and female Hispanic.

Eligibility Criteria To Get Hispanic Scholarships

  • You must take the PSAT or NMSQT in your junior year.

  • You must get the minimum qualifying PSAT or NMSQT score.

  • You must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher by the middle of your junior year.

  • You can’t use SAT, PSAT 10, and PSAT 8/9 scores to get a Hispanic scholarship in any college.

However, these criteria can vary according to the rules and regulations of different institutions, colleges, or universities.
