About the Scholarship

This scholarship is available for residents of Mitchell County, North Carolina who are 4-H members or staff members and plan to attend an institution in North Carolina as a freshman. If no freshman is eligible, then an upperclassman may be awarded the scholarship. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for international and U.S. students. Must be a resident of Mitchell County, NC. Must be a 4-H member. Must attend an accredited institution of higher learning in North Carolina. Must plan to enroll full time. First preference will be given to a student who has worked with the Mitchell County 4-H "Discovery" program. If no such student applies, preference will be given to a student enrolling as a college freshman.
