About the Scholarship

NFMC Elizabeth Paris French Horn Award is provided by the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC).

The organization was established in the year 1898 and is chartered by the Congress of the United States and is the only music organization member of the United Nations.

NFMC provides opportunities for musical study and is dedicated to finding and fostering young musical talent. This award is provided to those students who are in their 19-25 years of age.


How to apply for this scholarship?

  • Students applying for this scholarship must record their performance on a CD about the French horn repertoire.

  • Candidates must submit a $10 application fee and a $16 NFMC membership fee.

  • The students must submit three copies of the application and performance CD.

  • The candidates are instructed to provide their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to determine his/her financial position.


Scholarship Award Amount

  • This scholarship award amounts to $1750 annually which is non-renewable.

  • The total number of awards offered through this scholarship is limited to 1 deserving candidate every academic year based on the availability of funds and candidates applying.


Deadline Information

All the necessary documents along with the application form must be sent to the concerned department of the institution no later than April 01 to be eligible for the scholarship.
