The "Garden State" is just another name for the state of New Jersey. The state attracts many kinds of students towards it as it is one of the most populated states in the country.  Spread across 8,722 square miles of the Mid-Atlantic Coast, New Jersey is America's most densely populated state with 8.94 million residents.

New Jersey specifically enrolls around 380,000 full- and part-time college students at 66 MSCHE-accredited institutions. Young adults and people in their early twenties find this state very attractive as there is no replacement of the sandy beaches on the Jersey Shore, fresh produce, entertainment venues like Atlantic City, sports rivalries, and the fact that it is close to New York City. For those living in New Jersey, these state-specific college scholarships are a great way to help pay for college or grad school.

What is the New Jersey Scholarship?

New Jersey Scholarship is the scholarship that is provided to the students of New Jersey who have stayed in New Jersey and have completed at least the senior years of high school in New Jersey.

Even if you aren’t a current resident of New Jersey but plan to attend a school in the state, such as Princeton University, Rutgers University, the College of New Jersey, or the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), you may also be qualified for these scholarships for New Jersey students.

Besides these universities, there are also universities like Monmouth University, Seton Hall University, Stevens Institute of Technology, and Kean University. Princeton University is claimed as the top-notch university by the U.S. News and also there are a lot of college scholarships offered by these universities.

College debt is a bitter reality for many students as for many it simply becomes a nightmare. The hefty tuition fees which are demanded by colleges today are demotivating students to take up higher education and get a college degree. But the good thing is there are scholarships, funds, and awards available for students to pursue their dreams of getting a college degree. In fact, just living in the state of New Jersey can make students eligible for scholarships and grants. By using your state of residence or college attendance as a search criterion, one can find the money one needs to pay for a college education.

Here is the detailed information about the New Jersey scholarship.
