The eligibility criteria vary largely from scholarship to scholarship. Even under Wyoming Scholarship, there are different scholarships available for Wyoming students and the criteria are different for each scholarship. But in large general or basic criteria remain the same. So here are a few of them.
One must be a Wyoming resident.
One must graduate from a Wyoming high school or one must have attended an eligible high school in Wyoming at some point during their high school education.
One must have a cumulative GPA of 2.25.
One must have an SAT score of 990 and an ACT score of 19.
Students from other states are eligible for this under these conditions.
One’s custodial parent or legal guardian was a Wyoming resident at the time the student applied for a Hathaway scholarship, as well as a Wyoming resident during the time the student was attending an eligible high school in Wyoming.
One’s absence from the state was due to the custodial parent’s or legal guardian’s employment or other conditions beyond the reasonable control of the parent or guardian.
One’s parent or legal guardian must not have claimed residency in any other state or foreign country during the time the student was attending high school in the other state or foreign country.
One’s custodial parent or legal guardian who is in active military service maintains Wyoming as his/her domicile state.
One must also demonstrate Wyoming residency as determined by the University of Wyoming.
