About the Scholarship

This award is available to Missouri undergraduate students who are children and spouses of Vietnam veterans who served between 1961 and 1972 and whose deaths were attributed to, or caused by, exposure to toxic chemicals during the Vietnam conflict. The veteran must have been a Missouri resident when first entering the military service and at the time of death. Application requirements for the Vietnam Veteran Survivor Grant are:Application form

Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a resident of Missouri. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Must enroll as a full-time student. Must be the child or spouse of a Vietnam veteran. Must not have received a bachelor's degree, completed 150 semester credit hours, or received the award for 10 semesters, whichever occurs first. Must attend a participating Missouri postsecondary school. A list of the participating schools is available at: dhe.mo.gov/ppc/grants/vietnamveterans.php . Must not be pursuing a degree or certificate in theology or divinity. The veteran under whom eligibility for this program is established must have been a Missouri resident when first entering the military service and at the time of death.
