About the Scholarship
Violet McIntyre Scholarship is accredited by Pinellas Education Foundation. This scholarship was established to honor Violet Milne McIntyre and financially assist a senior in obtaining post-secondary education. This is to reduce the burden a student faces to pay for their education.
How to apply for this scholarship?
The students applying for this scholarship must have been completed their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application form to receive their SAR and determine the financial position of a student.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need as detailed in the Student Aid Report.
Students applying for the scholarship must demonstrate excellence in academics, participation in community service, and involvement in extracurricular activities.
A student must provide the clear information about the colleges and universities that they have applied for.
Award Amount and Deadline
This scholarship provides $2500 annually and is nonrenewable.
The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to one student each year.
The application deadlines by the end of January 15, 2020. All students are informed to submit their scholarship application and other required application before the due date to meet the eligibility. Applications and other related information are available online on the Pinellas Education Foundation website.
An Applicant must be a local area student who demonstrates a strong passion for writing.
A student must have an average GPA of 2.5 out of 4 in order to be eligible for the scholarship.
An applicant must be a legal resident of the United States of America who demonstrates an interest in writing.
