About the Scholarship
VSGC Graduate STEM Research Fellowship Program is accredited by Virginia Space Grant Consortium. (VSGC) is a group formed of five Virginia colleges and universities, NASA, state educational agencies, Virginia's Center for Innovative Technology, and other institutions representing diverse aerospace education and research. The foundation is a grant-based program, funded by NASA and the Commonwealth of Virginia contributions, with a mission to urge individual talents to seek careers in NASA's mission which supports the aerospace industry.
The foundation aims at providing education to undergraduate students who are interested in STEM and NASA related studies.
How to apply for the VSGC Graduate STEM Research Fellowship Program?
To meet the eligibility for this scholarship students must file for Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application.
- the students must provide a letter of recommendation that should assess the applicant's potential as well as his/her progress and academic achievements.
Students showing an interest in STEM and NASA related programs will be considered for this scholarship.
VSGC Graduate STEM Research Fellowship Program amounts to
The fellowship program provides $5000 annually and added to this program it also helps graduates supplement and enhance basic research support.
The scholarship offers approximately 50 new awards every year, and are renewable for one additional year
The applications are to be submitted by the end of January 28, 2020. along with the all a statement of applicants' academic goals, a plan of study, and a resume of applicants' career/qualification.
The applicant must be a U.S Citizen
Must have a GDP of 3.0
Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at one of the Virginia Space Grant Consortium member institutions: Hampton University, Old Dominion University, University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, or The College of William and Mary.
Must be in a program of study demonstrating an interest in STEM and supporting NASA's mission.
