  • Academic Scholarships: This scholarship is provided to students who showcase  high academic achievement and meet specific GPA guidelines as set by Butler Community College. Students must  be enrolled in a 12 credit hours course and should maintain required GPA throughout the semesters.

  • Butler Foundation Scholarships : Eligibility criteria for this scholarship is that  students should have an overall grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale to be eligible to receive this scholarship. This scholarship is monitored by the financial aid office. The award amount may vary with courses enrolled.

Federal Grants 

  • Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grant (IASG) :This grant is provided to students whose parent or guardian was a member of the United States armed forces and dies in service in Iraq or Afghanistan after September 11, 2011. Students need to complete the FAFSA application form and should meet general financial aid eligibility criteria. The award amount may be similar to Federal Pell grant and would not exceed the student’s cost of attendance.

  • Children of fallen Heroes Scholarship Act : This is awarded to students whose parent or guardian dies in the line of duty while performing as a public safety officer. The award amount may vary with respect to Federal Pell grants. Students should be enrolled at an institution of higher education.
