College of the Canyons follows a simple application and admission process involving a total of 4 steps that are as follows: Step 1 that a prospective candidate needs to complete: Submitting the application The first step which a candidate is required to make for admission at College of the Canyons is applying to the university. Interested candidates can apply to the university by either calling the college at (661) 259-7800 or through online mode. Those willing to take admission can also directly visit the university's administration at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita, California 91355-1899. Students wishing to take admission at College of the Canyons can also directly contact its admissions office by phone. Step 2 to the application and admission process: Acceptance by CC It should be noted by the candidates that submitting ACT and SAT scores is recommended but not mandatory for admission to College of the Canyons. Further, after submitting the form and depositing the enrollment fee, to receive their admission decision, students are required to submit the following documents:
Essay: Also known as the personal statement, the essay submitted by an applicant offers them a unique way to showcase their achievements and personality. It is advised that applicants include personal experiences and anecdotes as well.
Transcripts: Submitting the necessary high-school and college transcripts is an important part of the evaluation process. An applicant can use Parchment (or similar platforms) to submit the same.
Official Test Scores: As mentioned above, submitting SAT and ACT scores at CC is not mandatory and not all students submit them. However, by submitting these official scores, a candidate can make a stronger claim for securing a seat at College of the Canyons. Once the college finishes looking into applications, additional documents or information might be requested. Step 3: Confirm Your Attendance As part of the Step 3 in the admission process, the candidates must confirm their attendance to College of the Canyons. They will also be required to select their housing as well as complete their Financial Check-In process. At present, there is no concrete information available regarding the average SAT score or similar requirements for admission at the College of the Canyons. At the university, SAT scores of the candidates are not a mandatory requirement to get admission.
ACT scores are believed to make a candidate a strong applicant for securing admission to any college or college. The application deadline of the college depends on several factors. Fall applications, the most popular among students, usually start from September and might go on till April. A September deadline usually pertains to early decision, while the final deadline is in April. Notably, to be eligible for scholarships, students might have to apply before the early deadline. This is why it is always recommended to apply early.
Credit for Life Experiences
Almost all universities in the US incentivize students by helping them earn college credit by taking certain courses in high school.
