Step 3: Schedule Admission Interview

Then the applicant must Connect with their Admissions Advisor who will review their application materials in order to prepare them for their official Admissions Interview (in person or by phone). If accepted to FIDM, the Final Application Fee of $200 is due at that time.

Step 4: Start of the Journey

After clearing the interview round the journey of the student begins at FIDM.

Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Since getting admission in FIDM, LA is quite competitive there are certain requirements that a student needs to fulfill in order to get admitted into the university. Following are the admission requirements to get into FIDM-

  • Transcripts- The students need to apply for transcripts from their previous educational institutions, It is compulsory to submit transcripts to get admission in FIDM

  • Portfolio- The students need to submit a portfolio with 10-12 Examples showing your ideas, inspirations, concepts, and creativity towards the applied program.

  • SAT/ACT scores are required in order to get admitted to FIDM. It is mandatory to have the score of one of the two mentioned national level examinations.

  • Application Fee- There is an application fee of 25$ charged in order to apply to the university.

  • It is required to submit a high school GPA whereas it is recommended to submit highschool ranks and any college preparation courses that an applicant might have.

  • Essay- The applicants are required to submit an essay on a word document (doc or docx) answering the following questions-

    • What are your expectations, goals, hobbies, and special interests?

    • What are your reasons for choosing FIDM?

    • What appeals to you about the major you are considering?

    • What are your goals and aspirations upon graduation from FIDM?

  • Letters of recommendation- The applicants are required to submit 2 letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors, or past employers.

  • The university accepts credits and the student needs to submit any AP credits, Dual credits, or credits for work-life experiences that he/she may have.


Admission Requirements for MBA

There are a certain set of requirements that an applicant needs to fulfill in order to get admission to the MBA program at FIDM.

  • Applicants need to have completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

  • All prior college academic transcripts must be included in the Application. 

  • Strong academic performance in college is important. Professional involvement will also be considered.

  • Essay- The Applicant needs to submit a Reflection Essay addressing the following questions-

    • What knowledge do you expect to gain from this program?

    • What personal traits do you possess that you feel will allow you to succeed in this program? 

    • How do you feel your prior academic achievements will assist you in being successful in this program?

    • Describe your previous or current extracurricular and professional experience and why you feel it may benefit you in this program. 

    • Why do you feel the completion of this program will benefit you in the achievement of your professional goals? 

    • What are your near term and long term aspirations upon completion of this program? 

  • Two personal references- If the applicant has completed an undergraduate program within the last three years, he should give two faculty members (including Department Chair, Academic Advisor, etc.) as references. If he has graduated more than three years ago, he must include professional references.

  • Supporting Information- The Applicant may be asked to submit additional academic information such as course syllabi, signature or research assignments, or final examination papers as evidence of prior academic performance.

  • Resume- The application must include a professional resume describing the Applicant’s sequence of academic achievement and any professional involvements.

  • After reviewing the above-listed Application requirements, the Applicant will be interviewed by an Admissions Committee composed of the Department Chair and faculty members.

  •  A verbal and written evaluation of the English language proficiency for international degree holders may be required by the Admissions Committee.

  • The Applicant will be notified of any additional information is required by the Committee and the results of its findings regarding admission to the program.
