In the US, a majority of the universities incentivize students by helping them earn school credit by taking certain courses in high school. Dual Enrollment (also known as Dual Credit), AP Credit, and CLEP (Credit for Life Experiences) are some of the popular programs that are available for students. However, the policy regarding these credits varies from school to college. These programs have multiple benefits such as a higher GPA, increased chances of finishing the degree, and a shorter time to complete the degree. Students can easily apply for AP and CLEP credits by visiting collegeboard.org and request to submit the scores to the school of their choice.
