In the year 1985, the university got their first five-year accreditation from the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges and in the year 1989, the name was changed to The Union Institute. Union Institute and University offer undergraduate, certification, graduate, masters and doctorate degree programs at the university. The admission process for each degree program is slightly different from one another. The applicant can choose any program as per their interest and follow the admission steps of that particular program.

Bachelor Program 

The essentials for admission in Union Institute and University's Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science program are:

  • Candidate need to a sound academic performer 

  • Prior admission to any course the mentor for admission helps students choosing the right course based on their interest, previous performance in past courses and the outcomes from it

  • Mentor essentially supports students to choose which course fits their passion

  • A candidate who can be self-conducted and have a capability of doing so

  • If a candidate has partial things available like credit but not the transcript then they can get admission in Union Institute and University but if they require monetary support the candidature will not be considered particularly for it.

The profile of students will need some more fundamentals which are:

  • Candidate needs to submit the transcript before three and a half months of the term. If the course is of sixteen weeks then before the end of first eight-term

The candidates are suggested to apply for the admission for a minimum of one term before the course is being started. The student will get the notification via email, fax or a physical notification will be sent to the student as per their choice.

Masters Degree Program

The admission in a masters degree in the stream of arts in Union Institute and University will be only available for bachelor degree students. The bachelor degree must be completed from an institute which is certified for higher education or accreditated from a renowned accreditation. The timelines for the master degree are summer term -  4 by 30 same for the spring term, admission timeframe is 4 by 6, for winter term it is one by two and admission time frame is twelve by eight, for fall it is 8 by 29, admission timeframe is eight by five.   

The admission of a student is correlated with their -  conceptual experiences and fulfilling qualification. Each admission application is checked by admission officials of Union Institute and University before processing it further. The format of processing is an individual format which means for each application the officials which check the profile of students personally. The necessary documents needed for admission into the master of Arts are:

  • Candidate needs to have an average GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 in the main subjects and in the test assignments of the graduate degree. If not then the candidate needs to submit an extra assignment test for admission. This exception will be given only for some students based on their profile

  • Authorized transcripts of the schools and programs for which candidate has performed in past

  • Latest curriculum vitae

  • Letter of recommendation which is given up by the associated persons with the candidate. The person should be able to demonstrate a candidate's abilities

  • Candidate's reason for doing this program with Union Institute and University and area of interest (official will check the candidate's English proficiency)

  • TOEFL score is important if the candidate's mother tongue is not English. The score must be seventy-nine or above for eligibility(TOEFL test format should be internet)

  • For international students, Union Institute and University has designed an assessment plan so the candidate needs to submit their official transcript for assessment

  • Assessment team for admission will interrogate student via a phone interview communication

  • Based on interrogation team member will decide candidature of a student to take it for admission or not

  • In some exceptional cases if the student does not have average aggregate then they will get interim admission into the program and need to perform and gain for six credits in their respective coursework

  • To be considered for exceptional scenario then-candidate need to give a satisfactory or sound academic performance( a minimum of B standard grade is a must in the starting term)

  • Only one amenity will not be there for interim students is related to monetary support given using FAFSA application

  • If a student is not achieving the goal in academic coursework assessment then they will not be eligible for further and they need to gain required credits from a certified school or college

Other courses offered are Master of Science in Health Care Management and Master of Science in Organizational Leadership. The essentials are for Health Care Management:

  • Corporate experience in healthcare management of three to five years. It can be for public, private or with a health-related organization for management and leadership

  • Average GPA of 3.0 is a must and a bachelor degree from a certified college or university

  • Readiness to serve at every level whether it is challenging or easy in healthcare stream and to analyze it properly at the graduate level with real-time experience

  • Ability to work in multiple situations and diverse culture and devoted to healthcare management and leadership

  • A candidate who thinks on a serious mode for personal, academic and professional level growth

  • If the candidate does not have an average GPA up to 3.0 then they can get admission to the interim program

  • Document requirement is an official transcript of colleges or schools attended in past and TOEFL score (if applicable) other essential are curriculum vitae, Phone Interview of forty-fifty minutes and recommendation letter.

The admission criteria are for Organizational Leadership:

  • Candidate should have worked in public and private fields of Organizational Leadership and corporate experience of three to five years in leadership and management services

  • An average aggregate of a student must be 3.0 or above in the bachelor degree which they gained from certified university or college

  • Eager and ready to serve after the completion of a graduate degree

  • Recommendation letter which is given by the person who is associated with a candidate

  • Need to submit an authorized transcript of past colleges or schools attended 

  • Candidate should be able to work in any challenging situation and must be having real-time work experience in organizational leadership

  • Should be devoted to better and sound academic performance as well as on a professional level.

Doctorate Program

For the doctorate, courses Union Institute and University admission officials have ended up with other requirements. Union Institute and University appreciate diverse applications for each courses same rules are followed for doctorate courses whether the candidate is the United States or some other country.
