Lubbock Christian University is a private not-for-profit, Christian University located in Lubbock, Texas, and is associated with the ‘Churches of Christ’.LCU was founded in 1957 by members of Churches of Christ who joined together to establish a Christian university in the south plains of Texas. In 1972, the university received accreditation as a senior college and then in 1987, it received the university status.
