Malone University (MU), Canton, Ohio, stands for its years of excellence in the field of maintaining the legacy of a historic institute like this one. The University believes regardless of where a student stands with questions of faith, they think the almighty wants to work in students through their classroom experiences, activities, athletics, relationships, residence life, and spiritual life to draw them to Christ's purposes. The acceptance rate is 70% which gives the University 31st position in terms of the lowest admission rate in Ohio. The academic requirements are moderate which narrows the admission only for ‘B+’ and onwards High School graders. MU offers admission in over 41 Majors in 15 different fields.

In recent years, out of 2,039 applications,1,421 candidates were accepted for further admission processes.  Academically, it has attainable requirements for admission test scores, generally admitting students who score in the top 22 percent. In the recent statistical year,

  • Out of 1,060 female candidate applications,746 were accepted for the admission process. 

  • In the male category, 979 candidates were selected among 675 applicants. 

  • At present 313 students are enrolled in some graduate or undergraduate program tracks. 

  • The percentage of admissions made on the basis of enrollment rate is around 22%.

Freshman Admission Process

This course is mainly designed for undergraduate students or students who are attending University for the first time.

On average, students passing this program with satisfactory results end up in a multi-international industry and are an extremely optimistic lifestyle. Freshmen in Malone University are not asked to choose subjects randomly, rather they go through an experimental learning phase where they can find where they are the most comparable with. This program is under the Pendle Hill Pledge of the University. To apply for Freshmen Admission Process you need to do the following:

  • Submit a complete application on the official admission portal which can either be via Malone University Application or Common App. In this

  • Pay the Application Fee of $20(or a College Board Waiver).

  • Must submit a High School Transcript or GED  where the minimum marks should be 430.

  • One must comply with satisfactory SAT(code: 3289) or ACT(code:1439) scorecards.

  • A letter of Recommendation is necessary for the application process.

Transfer Student Admission Process

Malone University offers course transfer program admissions as well. There is no upper limit for the number of courses one can apply for but they must have 15 upper-division semester credits approved by the department of one’s major subject. For the transfer, program one needs to fulfill the following criteria:

  • Complete at least a 30 hour semester in any Major programs. 

  • For students who transfer to Malone not having completed the AA, AS, BA, or BS degree, the average grade in courses allowed for transfer from each school must be 2.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)

  • Submission of all the official transcripts of the attended schools is mandatory.


Graduate Admission Process

For Graduate student admission program one must find oneself satisfying the following checklist:

  • Must possess all the scores and documents as stated in the undergraduate section. 

  • The candidate must possess a good academic record in his/her undergraduate degree.


International students Admission Process

Since Malone University is the epicenter of ethic, cultural and belief diversity, the University has made special arrangements for international students and in order to meet those, one needs to comply with the following conditions:

  • Complete an Online Admission form filling all the details of the candidate.

  • Must submit certified copies of original records and transcripts mailed by the registrar of each secondary school, college, or university attended (translations not acceptable without a copy of the original documents).  Malone recommends evaluations from either the Foreign Credit Services of America or the World Education Services (WES).

  • SAT I/ACT test scores must be sent directly from the testing agency. The Malone code for the SAT I is 1439, ACT is 3289.

  • English Proficiency Test like TOEFL/IELTS is necessary for the candidate whose native language is not English. The minimum score for the computerized TOEFL test is 79 and that for IELTS is 6.

Notably, Malone University also considers the SAT scores of the applicants for their admission. Apart from other things, the candidates need to know that SAT scores are compulsory to be considered for admission to the university. The average SAT score of the candidates who get accepted to MU is 1054. However, in some cases, those who have obtained a SAT score of 925 or below could also get into the university. It's worth noting that the composite ACT scores of the accepted applicants often fall in the range of 19-26. Malone University demands very moderate records. It has very easy attainable requirements for admission test scores, generally admitting students who score in the top 22 percent. The following are the general requirements for getting into MU:

  • Admissions are generally done via an online portal called CommonApplication. The candidate needs to fil this application with all their details. Please note: the Common Application is only supported on Internet Explorer 10, Firefox, and Chrome.

  • Submit the High School Transcript or GED certificate along with a $20 Application fee.
