There is a public university in Kyle, SD called Oglala Lakota College. In 1971, Oglala Lakota College was founded. The university believes in imparting quality education and giving back to society. In the same light, Oglala Lakota College has a motto of Rebuilding the Lakota Nation through Education. The total enrolment stands at 1,400 students at Oglala Lakota College. Around 1,280 and 26 students take admission in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses of the university. To teach various courses to the students, the school has employed a total of 127 faculty. Around 66% of the students are females and 34% are males.
