Admission Program at Point Park University, Downtown, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is made keeping in mind the student's perceptive. Hence the acceptance rate is 65% which is a decent percentile to get in PPU if the prerequisites match with that of the college.

PPU believes that students who are applying for any program in PPU are dedicated to learning more and are willing to contribute their skills in the betterment of the global economy. Admission Process

Undergraduate Admission Process

The undergraduate program is for High School graduate freshmen. More than 80 real-life undergraduate subjects are offered. For applying in the undergraduate admission process, one needs to follow the steps given below:

  • Create their student account in the official online admission portal.

  • Your User ID and login link will be sent to the email address provided

  • Follow the login link to activate your account. Important note: Please be sure to check your spam or junk folder for the activation email.

  • After activating – you can begin your application!

  • Once an account is created, you can access your application dashboard at any time by logging in.

  • For students who will be attending college for the first time are recommended to provide their ZeeMee in the application as well.

Graduate Admission Process

Point Park University is especially famous for its research and development programs. All the big tycoons and established industrialists prefer PPU for their excellent training programs. If one is applying for the graduate program, they must consider the following points:

  • One must fill the online application for admission where all the necessary details of the candidate are needed to mention.

  •  Once that is done, the candidate must provide the necessary documents of SAT/ACT, High School transcript, and academic records of the undergraduate program.


International Students Admission Process

For International Students, PPU tries to make it feel like home. The ISSE office serves as a single point of contact, guiding the students every step of the way - through the admission process, to their arrival on campus, and throughout four years at Point Park.

The overall process is exactly similar except a few additional documents, proof of nationality, income proof of their family, and English Proficiency test score. Just like the other eligibility criteria, the cut-off marks for is IELTS as low as 6.5 bands and TOEFL is 70 or above.

The SAT scores of the applicants are also considered by Point Park University for their admission. Candidates can also submit their ACT scores for securing admission to Point Park University. According to the latest data, the applicant should have an average ACT score of 22 to get accepted. Point Park University demands moderate academic records. It has average for admission test scores, generally admitting students who score in the top 16 percent or average High school 'B' grader. The following are the general requirements for getting into PPU:

  • Admissions are generally done via an online portal. The candidate needs to fil this application with all their details. Please note: the Common Application is only supported on Internet Explorer 10, Firefox, and Chrome.

  • Submit the High School Transcript or GED certificate.

  • Must comply with the core curriculum requirements such as at least 4 years of English, 4 years of Mathematics(basic calculus), 3 years of Lab Science, 3 years of History/Social Science, and 3 years of a foreign language.

  • Letters of recommendation is known for boosting up one's profile so it is recommended to have.

  • Senior grades are an important factor in our admission decision. We will not release a decision without having some indication of your academic performance from the senior year; examples include, but are not limited to, the first quarter, first semester, or first trimester grades.

  • Standardized test scores in ACT/SAT and average GPA must be met.
