The admissions process at The University of Toledo is pretty simple and university stays with students at every step guiding them on how to get in. Following is the admissions process at the UT.

For admission to UToledo, a direct-from-high school student/ Fresher man  is required to:

Complete minimum college preparatory curriculum course work:

  • 4 years/units of English

  • 4 years/units of math (including algebra I and II and geometry or equivalent)

  • 3 years/units of natural science

  • 3 years/units of social science

The requirement for Unconditional Direct Admission

  • 15 ACT/830-870 SAT and a minimum 2.5 GPA

  • 16 ACT/880-910 SAT and above with a minimum 2.0 GPA

Subject to Review

  • Under a 15 ACT or 830-870 SAT and a 2.75 GPA or above

  • 15 ACT or 830-870 SAT and a 2.0-2.49 GPA

  • 16 ACT or 889-910 SAT and above, but less than a 2.0 GPA

Transfer, Adult, and Military Admission

  • Official transcripts from all institutions previously attended are required for admission to UToledo.

  • Transfer students with a minimum higher education GPA of 2.0, for all work, who do not meet college/program admission requirements below will be admitted to University College: Department of Exploratory Studies.

New Transfer

A student who has previously attended another institution and is looking to transfer to UToledo for the first time.

Transfer Re-Admits

Students who attended UToledo then attended another institution, and are coming back to UToledo.  If your higher education GPA is under a 2.0, your file will be reviewed before you are readmitted to UToledo.

Graduate Application Requirements

Here are some of the minimum requirements that you need to consider to The College of Graduates studies both on the main campus and health science campus.

  • You need a four-year Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university required.

  • It also requires official transcripts from all universities/colleges you are currently attending or have attended. Official transcripts are those sent directly from the institution to the College of Graduate Studies. 

  • Due to Covid-19, the College of Graduate Studies is temporarily accepting copies of official transcripts by email from applicants who attended an international institution only at graduateonlineapplication@utoledo.edu.
