Admission Requirements

Penn Foster wants students to meet the following admission requirements in order to enroll for Certificate, Associate and Bachelor’s Degree programs

  • Completion of enrollment agreement with the required down payment.

  • Submission of complete information on high school completion or its recognized equivalent.

  • The application will be reviewed by the college and notified to the applicant about the acceptance or rejection of the application.

  • The college will award up to 75% of the total credits in transfer if the coursework has been completed previously at an accredited institution once the official transcripts have been submitted by the student for evaluation.

  • It is important that every student must complete the Basic Skills Assessment as it is the first step in every program and after the completion of the assessment the student can begin their first course in their program.

  • Additional courses will be available online on the student's portal, once the lessons are completed.

  • For Certificate Programs, students must enroll in the entire program at one time.

  • For Associate and Bachelor Degree Programs, students must enroll in each semester separately.

  • Applicants who are from an institution where English is not the principal language must submit 
    • A score of 500 in Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - paper-based test.

    • A Score of 61 in TOEFL- Internet-Based Test (IBT).

    • A Score of 6 in International English Language Test (IELTS).

    • A Score of 44 in the Pearson Test of English Academic Score Report (PTE Academic).
