About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the Calvin College, a Christian academic community dedicated to rigorous intellectual inquiry. The university fosters scholarships that create new knowledge, that perform creative work, and that sustains natural and cultural resources. This grant is awarded for students with the intention that they get to receive an excellent Christian education and the opportunities it brings for Christian service. Selection will be based on the candidate's academic interest and volunteer experiences, and interest in working with children.
How to apply for the scholarship?
The applicant should complete the application which can be found on the Calvin College Social Work Department scholarship page.
Along with the application, the applicant should submit two essays responding to the questions listed on the application, academic transcripts, GPA score, and FAFSA.
How much the scholarship award amounts to?
- The award amounts to $2,200 yearly and is renewable.
One award is offered per year.
The deadline date is set for February 1
A student must be entering junior or senior year.
A student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
Recipients have been adopted, have a special interest in adoption, or are interested in working with children and be committed to the pro-life position on the issue of abortion
An applicant must demonstrate financial need.
