About the Scholarship

This Delaware Optometry Incentive Program scholarship is recognized and is awarded by the Delaware Higher Education Office. The main aim of the organization is to empower every student with the highest education possible through leadership, innovative services, and involvement.

This scholarship is provide to assist students with their middle school and early high school student's tuition fees, and other direct expenses. This scholarship is for those candidates whose interest is to achieve academic goals in the optometry major.

How to apply for this scholarship?

  • A student must first fill in the online application form that is available in the Delaware Higher Education Office Website. A student must log in to their account with the username and password that they used while creating an account.

  • Candidates must complete their online profile by adding information about the clubs & activities that they are involved in, student's interests and various awards received.
  • An applicant must submit his/her official scorecards of the ACT/SAT to demonstrate their excellence in academics.

  • In addition to these, the applicants should submit a copy of their official transcripts to the concerned department in advance.

Scholarship Award Amount

The scholarship award amounts to $4,000 per year and is renewable for an additional 3 years. The number of the award given to the eligible candidates per year varies depends on the number of eligible candidates applied for this scholarship and availability of the funds.


All the documents mentioned above along with the application form must be sent to the financial aid department of the organization on or before June 3 to be one the eligible students to receive the scholarship amount.

Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must be enrolled full time and be a resident of Delaware.

  • The applicant must reside in the U.S. or be eligible non-citizen of the United States.

  • He/she must be enrolled in a program leading to licensure as an optometrist in Delaware.

  • He/she should be pursuing a career in optometry.
