About the Scholarship
This forgivable loan program is available to Maine graduating high school seniors, undergraduate students, and graduate students who are pursuing initial certification as a teacher, including speech pathology or child care provider qualifications. Eligibility Criteria
This award is for U.S. students. Must be a resident of Maine. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Must be pursuing initial certification as a teacher, including speech pathology or child care provider qualifications. The current definition of a "teacher" also includes Chapter I tutor, guidance counselor, and librarian-media specialist. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be an incoming or current undergraduate or graduate student.
