About the Scholarship
This "Educators for Maine Program" scholarship is awarded by the organization 'Finance Authority of Maine (FAME)' and is established in 1983. But in April 1990 it significantly expanded. the main purpose of this FAME was to give assistance to the finance-related business persons and gave loan to them. Now this FAME gives assistance to the U.S undergraduate students for teacher or pathology or childcare provider.
How to apply for the scholarship?
Applications are available on the official website 'Finance Authority of Maine (FAME)' and all the applicants must access the online application in order to apply for this scholarship.
- A student must submit a college transcript.
- Applicant must have to submit FAFSA certificate.
A student must submit the Official scorecards of ACT/SAT to demonstrate the completion of the graduation semester as well as academic performance.
A student must also submit two reference letters.
- A student has to submit a typed, double-spaced essay of approximately 500 words describing his/her views on the roles educators play in society today.
In addition to that applicant must write and submit and a two-page essay on a topic listed in the scholarship application.
All the documents and FAFSA should be submitted before the deadline for this scholarship.
The awarded amount for the scholarship:
The amount awarded for this scholarship is $3,000 per year and is renewable. The number of awards given to the eligible candidates varies depends on the number of eligible candidates applied for the scholarship and the availability of the fund amount.
Deadline for the scholarship:
The deadline for this scholarship is the 1st of May.
He/she must enrol for an undergraduate.
His/her grade point should be an average of 3.0 or higher.
This award is for international and U.S. students.
The applicant must b a resident of Maine.
He/she must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
