About the Scholarship

This award is available for U.S. students who have a desire for formal instruction or training and are disabled, the instructor of a disabled person, or the custodial adult of a disabled person. The applicant must be currently enrolled or planning to enroll at an institution of higher learning. Application requirements for the Gifts of Love Award are:Application form

Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must have a disability. For the purposes this fund, 'individuals with a disability' means those individuals having mental retardation, hearing impairments, speech and language impairments, visual impairments, emotional disturbances, orthopedic impairments, autism, traumatic brain injury or other health impairments, specific learning disabilities or multiple disabilities who, because of their needs, require special education or related services. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have a desire for formal instruction or training in a particular vocation, academic, athletic or artistic field. Must be Italian or Italian-American.
