About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the Berks County Community Foundation, an organization that administers about 350 charitable funds and has awarded over $55 million in grants and scholarships. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for the residents of Berks County and to promote philanthropy. This scholarship was created to honor Irv Noll, who was a very competitive person and had worked his way up the corporate ladder to a senior management executive post.
How to apply for the scholarship?
The applicant must complete the application on the BCCF site.
Along with the application, the applicant should also submit an essay (250-500 words) about the athlete that he/she admires the most, official academic transcripts, recommendation letter from his/her high school coach, and FAFSA.
How much the scholarship award amounts to?
- The award amounts to $400 per year and is non-renewable. The award will be given after the candidate's freshman year in college.
- The number of awards offered varies each year.

The fund will provide annual scholarships to benefit one or more seniors who attend one of Berks County’s public schools.
The applicant should have involved in playing golf, basketball or baseball teams for at least 2 years.
- In addition to paying above sports, a student should also demonstrate the financial need.
An individual must have 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or an 80% or higher on a 100% to be eligible for the scholarship.
