About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the Berks County Community Foundation, an organization that administers about 350 charitable funds and has awarded over $55 million in grants and scholarships. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for the residents of Berks County and to promote philanthropy. This scholarship was established to honor Henry Williams who was long-time professional golfer.
How to apply for the scholarship?
The applicant should complete the application which can be found on the BCCF site.
Along with the application, the applicant must also submit an essay (250-500 words), academic transcripts, recommendation letter from a coach, and FAFSA.
How much the scholarship award amounts to?
- The award amounts to $1,000 per year and is non-renewable.
One award is offered per year.
The deadline date is set for 15 March 2020
This scholarship is been awarded for the students who are planning to attend college to specialize in the Professional Golf Management Program.
- Students planning to specialize in golf field must be attending a certified institution.
Berks County Community Foundation employees, board members, and committee members are not eligible to apply for or be nominated for a scholarship offered by Berks County Community Foundation, nor are their immediate family members.
