About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the Communities Foundation of Texas, an organization that has paid over $100 million in grants in the year 2018. The organization has a history of over 60 years in assisting students to achieve their educational goals.
CFT works side by side with committed nonprofits, civic leaders and philanthropy-focused businesses to help out communities to prosper. At CFT they even effectively support their caring donors and grantees by demonstrating accountability. The selection of applicants for the Littlefield Wildcat Athletic Award will be based on academic performance, athletic talent, financial requirements, and leadership skills.
How to apply for the scholarship?
The applicant should first fill the application on The Communities Foundation of Texas site with all the details.
Along with the application, the applicant must also submit an essay of 500-1000 words on a topic mentioned in the application with 2 recommendation letter.
An applicant should also submit all their official academic transcripts and SAT/ACT scorecards before the deadline.
How much the scholarship award amounts to?
- The award amounts up to $1,000 per year and is non-renewable.
- One award is offered per year.
A student needs to submit all their documents to the institution no later than March 1.
You must be an American citizen.
You must be a graduating senior from Littlefield High School.
A minimum of 2.7 GPA or above out of 4 is required to be eligible for financial assistance.
A selection is based on your academic achievement, character, financial need, community activities, athletic achievement, and many more.
You must complete a short essay, submit 2 recommendation and provide FAFSA form in the financial assistance section of the general application form.
