About the Scholarship
Southwestern Equine is involved in supporting young men and women to achieve their higher academic study. It recognizes that the present youth are the future of the equine industry. Hence to achieve that mission, the southwestern tack is assisting the college students who are active participants in equestrian sporting events such as barrel racing, roping, rodeo, jumping, 3-day events, dressage, or gymkhana.
The Southwestern Equine scholarship program is designed to help students who have demonstrated academic excellence but are challenged by the financial assistance to reach their educational goals.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
To be considered for this award, students must complete the appropriate online application form.
An applicant must provide evidence of acceptance to an accredited college or university and proof of participation in an equestrian sporting event such as barrel racing, roping, rodeo, jumping, 3-day events, dressage, or gymkhana.
Every student must submit the proof of his/her college major, and transcript of “Proof of Horse Event or Competition” and “College Acceptance Letter”.
Each student applying for this award must select the Group 2 application designation, and all the above-mentioned documents must be completed online by the deadline date.
Award Amount and Deadline:
Southwestern Tack is awarding $500 annually to one eligible applicant, and it is non-renewable.
You must apply for this scholarship and submit all the fund required documents on or before 1st September 2019.
The recipient should be currently enrolled in college achieving academic success.
Senior High School Student achieving academic success that had been accepted to an accredited college
You have participated in horse events within the past year.
A student should participate in horse events.
A student should show proof of event participation like Barrel Racing, Roping, rodeo, Jumping, 3-day events, Dressage, Gymkhana.
