About the Scholarship
The Cherry Hawk Scholarship is awarded in the respect of Taylor The Hawk Richardson, Gene Cherry Ward. Cancer for College is awarding this fund to the students to have more personal relationships with the community like participation in sports and other extracurricular activities. The priority will be given to the students who show their interest in the field of sports.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
The scholarship application must be completed online only by filling the FAFSA application form.
An applicant with Cancer disease will get this scholarship award. For that, an applicant needs to submit the document of a cancer diagnosis.
The gross income of an applicant for the most recent tax year must be less than or equal to $150,000.
What is the Total Amount Awarded?
A scholarship awards $5000 to one student annually. All the needed documents for scholarship are submitted before January 31st.
A student must be residents of Southern California and must be current or former cancer patients
Additional preference will be given to students who are pursuing sports-related majors such as Sports Information, Sports Medicine, Sports Management, Sports Marketing, Sports Journalism, or any Communications degree with a personal emphasis on sports reporting.
