Students can avail of scholarships provided by the university, such as Asbury College Alumni Honors Award, Asbury University - Tuition Waiver Exchange Program, Educational Foundation of the KYCPA Scholarships, and Florida Student Assistance Grant Program (FSAG), if they find educational expenses to be on the higher side. It is interesting to note that almost every student at AU receives some kind of financial aid, while the total amount of provided assistance/loans in a year is $6,007,417. The total percentage of candidates applying to Asbury University who receive the Federal Grant is 33%. Meanwhile, 100% of the applicants receive the Student Grant and 98% are awarded the Institution Grant, while 33% of the students get the Pell Grant. While the Federal Grant awardees receive an average aid of $5,026, the State Grant receivers and Institution Grant beneficiaries get $4,621 and $13,791, respectively. On the other hand, the average aid received by the Pell Grant awardees is $4,118. The annual family income of the applicants is also considered for determining the total financial assistance that they will be eligible for. Alternatively, the candidates can also avail of monetary benefits like student loans, apart from financial grants and scholarship schemes to pay for their studies. But, they should understand that student loans are borrowed at a certain rate of interest, unlike grants and scholarships. Candidates are also required to repay these loans within a given period. Every year, around 61% of the applicants to Asbury University opt for student loans.
